Snow Valley - For Great Family Fun!
Snow Valley Barrie is one of Ontario's oldest ski areas. The area is well known as one of Ontario's favourite family ski areas. Although the area has a small vertical drop it's location minutes from Barrie and just an hour north of Toronto make it extremely popular with the Southern Ontario market.
The area boasts Ontario's largest ski and snowboard school . TV personality Rob Butler is Snow Valley's Director of Skiing. Although retired from the Pontiac World of Skiing "Performance Ski Tips" segments Rob is still well known by skiers and snowboarders across Canada.
As Rob notes, "While our runs may not be the highest nor the longest they offer variety and challenge to safely get newcomers started and to develop skills that people can take to the biggest mountains anywhere."
Snow Valley introduced snow tubing a few years ago and now is typically regarded as Ontario's best tubing area.
And of course, Snow Valley offers Ski Key ski and snowboard racks - both free-standing outside the chalets and inside in staff lockers and in ski checks. Rob Butler says "Having Ski Key racks available for our skiers and snowboarders is a great service. We sell the locks in our retail shop and it helps provide our guests with an easy and affordable way to keep their equipment safe."
