SKIKEY

Has Your Snowboard Been Stolen?

Although you may not be surprised to hear about ski and snowboard equipment being stolen from cars, garages, and homes, you may be surprised to know many go missing right from snowboard resorts and snowboard racks.

How is that possible with hundreds of people around to witness the theft?

What about security and staff that are being paid to guard equipment?

Are they not doing their job?

Well a thief is slick and quick, and will walk up to that unlocked board as if it is his or her own and walk away with it while onlookers smile, nod, say hello and welcome them to the slopes when you are not looking.

Colourful Ski KeysResort staff and security are often busy with customers and patrolling scheduled areas, and it is not their job to babysit the snowboard gear.

That is why snowboard locks exist.

Your gear is your responsibility, no one elses.

Theft happens in the blink of an eye, and thieves who are practiced in this art get away with it because they are observant and fast. They may even study security and know when the best times are to strike a ski rack.

All a snowboard thief has to do is see you set down your board, unlocked, and watch you walk away. Then it is theirs.

Never leave your snowboard unlocked. Snowboard theft is real. That is why Ski Key exists.

With the 2011 ski season upon us we highly suggest you check out our snowboard locks.
